IBEI celebrated its first

#IBEIalumni meeting

IBEI celebrated its first #IBEIalumni meeting in June 2021. Combining

on-site and online events, our alumni reconnected with IBEI through networking, cutting-edge analysis from our faculty and professional skills workshops. It was marvellous to have our alumni back!

New local chapter:

China Chapter

The IBEI China Chapter was launched in November 2021. The chapter gathers alumni and professionals from different cohorts and diverse backgrounds to connect and grow together. Our members include IBEI alumni and students working across public sector, private sector, IOs, NGOs, management consulting, think tank, etc. We aim at creating a professionally and personally connected community and providing a space for networking, knowledge and experience exchange, professional development and beyond.

This is the 3rd CHAPTER together with Barcelona and Colombia.

Job placement

survey 2021

The fifth job placement survey was carried out at IBEI from April to September 2021. The project aims to collect data systematically, every two years, on the employment situation of recent graduates (the last four cohorts) who respond to the survey. The main findings corroborate that graduates of IBEI Master’s degrees work full-time in a wide spectrum of sectors.

More than 86% of IBEI alumni are currently employed.

Between 78% (Alumni academic year 2019-2020) and 90% (alumni academic year 2017-2018) would recommend the Master’s programme.

Between 70,8 % (alumni academic

year 2019-2020) and 87,1% (alumni academic year 2017-2018) are generally pleased to have done the Master's programme at IBEI.

"I believe that academia must actively engage with the grand societal challenges of our times. Therefore, I want my academic work to contribute to a fairer society. The Mundus MAPP Program offers a unique blend of critical theory and practical skills that are key to heading in that direction. IBEI is a unique place to share and exchange ideas. I have very good memories of our debates in and after class. People from our cohort were very active and promoted exciting initiatives such as the Argus Magazine. I will advise current students to spend time strengthening their networks, learning from their classmates, and connecting with different organizations and movements in Barcelona. The city offers a great variety o f sources of inspiration for future work."
